Commercial Area Trip Hazard Repair

A mixed-use, commercial development with retail, office and restaurant space contacted us because a severe trip hazard had developed in a main pedestrian thoroughfare on their property. The culprit was a drainage issue, readily identified by our team, which had allowed stormwater to accumulate and affect the soil underlying the concrete slab.

We used resin injection to lift the settled area, eliminating the trip hazard completely and permanently repairing the supporting soils. We recommended a course of action for their maintenance department to address the drainage issue. As long as the drainage system remains effective and water is no longer allowed to accumulate in the area, this repair will provide a long-lasting solution to the issue and ensure our customer’s liability is mitigated as much as possible.
