Driveway Lifting
A customer contacted us because their driveway had settled significantly along the garage. We used a borescope camera to look underneath the slab to identify cavities and assess soil conditions; cavities were present and the soil was poorly-compacted, leaving the concrete unsupported and allowing for such severe settlement. We prescribed a repair using resin injection.
We drilled a grid pattern of 3/8” holes in the area of settlement. Using specialized, high-pressure injection equipment, we pumped the expanding concrete lifting material underneath the slab, lifting the slab to original position and permanently repairing the supporting soils. Now, instead of 5 inches, the transition into the garage is an appropriate 1 inch, much easier on vehicles transitioning into the garage and safer for people walking in the area.
