Industrial Area Concrete Stabilization
A local concrete production facility has a low-lying area on their concrete lot that doesn’t drain well and experiences heavy vehicular traffic from large concrete trucks. At great expense, they had replaced the concrete in the area twice in the past several years. When the concrete started to degrade the third time, we were brought in to perform resin injection in the area in hopes it could be an effective stabilization method. As soon as we started injecting our expanding foam material, volumes of water began displacing from beneath the slab.
Ultimately, we pushed several hundred gallons out from underneath the area, filling the space, supporting the area and permanently stabilizing the slab. The injection material is robust enough to withstand use from heavy concrete trucks, and several years later, the slab has experienced almost no effects of deterioration with the same level of use.
